~ Sunday Night Jazz with Gary Johnson on sax and flute from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3 at Ruth McGowan’s Brewpub, 131 E. First St. Joining him is the Jazz Quartet with Christian Foley on guitar, Greg Hester on keyboards, Carol Shumate on bass and Tom Scott on drums. No cover charge. 894-9610.
~ Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the city’s newly-installed wells at the Water Treatment Plant will take place at 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4. The wells are located near the River Park walking trail just off Crocker Road.
~ Cloverdale Community Farmers Market & Exchange from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, in the empty lot next to Plank Coffee, 225 N. Cloverdale Blvd. Vendors will include Duncan Soldner (mushrooms), Lou Preston’s bread, Flour Girl pastries, Ariel Ross breads and crackers, Six Oaks Farm, Split Rock Ridge Olive Oil, Artisan cheese makers, avocados, as well as jams, plants, flowers and other seasonal items. 894-6379.
~ Cloverdale High School Key Club members will hold a Food Drive from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, going door-to-door collecting non-perishable items left on front porches in bags provided by Key Club members the day prior. Needed items include canned fruits and vegetables, soups, canned tuna, peanut butter, rice, beans, mac and cheese, cereal, crackers and pasta. All food collected will be donated to the Cloverdale Food Pantry. 591.3235.
~ Cloverdale’s Certified Farmers Market opens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8 along N. Cloverdale Blvd. between 1st and E. 2nd Streets. ~ The South Bay Dub Allstars, a 10-piece powerhouse band with a 3-piece horn section, brings their unstoppable reggae groove to the Friday Night Live stage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8 in the Downtown Plaza, located in the 100 block of N. Cloverdale Blvd. The free summer concerts, held every Friday through Aug. 29, are presented by the Cloverdale Arts Alliance. 894-4410.
~ Cloverdale’s first annual TomatoFiesta will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9 at The Soil King Garden Center, 320 Santana Dr. Festivities will include a tomato competition, as well as a tomato salsa contest for locally grown tomatoes. 894-3500.
~ J. P. Soden, solo singer songwriter and guitarist will perform from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9 at Ruth McGowan’s Brewpub, 131 E.
