~ Join the Cloverdale Historical Society from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 as they present “In the Spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright,” the first in their new Spring 2013 Speaker Series. Discover the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright on the 1963 design of the dental office located at 114 N. Main St. by noted San Francisco architect and Write associate, Aaron G. Green. The program will be presented at the Performing Arts Center located at 209 N. Cloverdale Blvd. A $5 donation is requested. Light refreshments served. 894-2067.
~ “Architecture for Democracy,” a new exhibit focusing on the life and works of Frank Lloyd Wright and Aaron G. Green, will run from March 28 through April 13 at the Cloverdale History Center, 215 N. Cloverdale Blvd. Tickets are $2 each, $5 for groups or families. The History Center is open Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays, Noon to 4 p.m. 894-2067.
~ Cloverdale favorites, Bruce Halbohm and the Blue Jazz Combo, featuring Greg Hester and Jim Passarell, will perform from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29 at Ruth McGowan’s Brewpub, 131 E. First Street. Enjoy a mix of country, blues and jazz, along with a trip or two down memory lane. No cover charge. 894-9610.
~ Bruce Oliver and his Veraison Band will entertain from 7:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 29 in the Vino di Amore Tasting Lounge, 105 N. Cloverdale Blvd. The all-instrumental group plays a variety of melodic tunes ranging from smooth jazz, Latin rhythms, jazz standards and more. Wine by the glass and bottle will be available for purchase. No cover charge. 894-6166.
~ The Cloverdale Lions Club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt begins at 9 a.m. with free pictures with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 30 at Jefferson School, 315 North St. The egg hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m. More than 1600 eggs will be hidden, including 200 candy filled eggs and 16 special prize eggs.
~ The Sticky Notes will bring their eclectic mix of blues, rock, pop, folk and country to town from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 at Ruth McGowan’s Brewpub, 131 E. First Street. No cover charge. 894-9610.
