Late night fire threatened Cloverdale condos

Friday, February 1st, 2013 | Posted by

Cloverdale resident Jessica Allison took this photo of a late night fire near her home that destroyed a pool house and, for a time, threatened a nearby condominium complex.

Shortly before midnight Thursday, Cloverdale firefighters responded to a report of a fully involved structure fire in a pool house behind a residence at the end of University St.

Residents of the nearby Solar Park Condominium complex on the corner of Main St. and Vista View Dr. were temporarily evacuated while crews knocked down the flames. The pool house was a total loss, but except for some paint blistering on one of the building, there was no damage at Solar Park.

Savannah Del Campo, one of those evacuated, had nothing but praise for the firefighters. “The quick response of Cloverdale Fire saved lots of homes and we are lucky to have men who are so dedicated to this community!”

As of Friday morning, firefighters were continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire.

I am glad that all is not lost. Great work by all who worked so hard to save the condos.

We have a great group of firefighters in Cloverdale. Good for them.

Wow. These guys are so dialed. Thank the Lord we have such great men in our community. We should all praise the Lord that he has blessed us with such committed, dedicated, and well trained volunteers. Another great save!

I am very grateful to our firefighters as I am one of the residents who evacuated. Scary to open your door and see flames and hear terrified children screaming. Thank you for the prompt response and for saving my home.

      Well said Billy!

OMG, this was my wonderful Niece Jessica Allison and her great husband Mike’s Condo Complex and Jess took the picture. I’m so grateful everyone from the complex was alright. Buildings can be replaced but people and animals can’t. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Firefighters and Police officers who are of service to our communities. You all ROCK!!!
