Warm up a winter night at THE Jazz Club
THE Jazz Club welcomes the return of the Lee Charlton Trio and their rich repertoire of mainstream jazz from 8 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan 10 at the Cloverdale Center for the Arts, 105E. First St.
Charlton, who has been playing drums since the age of 10, has an extensive musical resume, which includes playing with such jazz greats as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Ellis Marsalis.
Joining Charlton will be Cloverdale’s Greg Hester on keyboard and Rob Wright on stand-up bass.
Hester and Wright, like so many jazz musicians, started with classical training and drifted to jazz. In recent years, have both expanded their talents to the arena of composition.
Seating is limited to the first 44 club-goers so plan to arrive early. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Suggested donation for the evening is only $10 for members of the Cloverdale Arts Alliance and $12 for non-members. Club refreshments served. 894-4410.
