Holiday wishes

Saturday, December 15th, 2012 | Posted by

It’s that time of year again when shoppers head to the mall – or the online shopping store – to pick out presents for friends and family.

If you could receive just one gift this holiday season – other than achieving world peace or winning the lottery – what would it be?

Is your wish list long and extravagant or is it short and simple?

If you’ve been unemployed, it could be a job offer. For the movie fan, it could be a pair of tickets to see either Lincoln or The Hobbit.  Theater lovers might appreciate tickets to an upcoming show at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center.

Or maybe you’ve had your eye on an expensive pair of earrings in the jewelry store window. Then again, maybe all you want this year is the chance to spend just one more day with someone special.

My family doesn’t believe me when I tell them all I want is a folding mesh laundry hamper. Really. If you could see the one I use now, you would understand.

What would be your ideal gift this holiday season? Please share it in the Comments section below. You just never know who might see it and want to make sure your holiday wish comes true.

  • Geri Giovannetti

I would love to have a family Christmas similar to ones of the past where everyone (in the family) is talking and happy and getting along (even if only for a few hours).

  • Nancy Turpen Lucas

To have one huge Family Christmas Dinner together. Kids, Cousins, Friends all sitting together at one big table and the meal would take all day and night to eat and socialize. No one unhappy or negative, all enjoying the company of loved ones.
