Cloverdale lights up for the holidays
Holiday lights are ablaze throughout the county, like the one pictured here on the corner of Healdsburg Avenue and Cabernet Street, just west of Washington School. It is one of Cloverdale’s “gotta see it” houses during the holiday season.
All of this family’s yard decorations are hand made. Every year their two young daughters choose a Christmas character to make, and then the whole family works together to create it out of plywood.
The tree on top of the house has more than 1,000 lights and the Abominable Snowman is over 8 ft tall. Their yard also features replicas of Charlie Brown, The Grinch, Rudolph and Santa with all his reindeer. Each decoration is made as accurately as possible, with special attention given to all the intricate details.
Houses in the adjacent cul-de-sac are also festively decorated, as are other homes in the surrounding neighborhood.
