First rain = season’s final tomato harvest
The recent rains dealt a double-whammy to Cloverdale residents Chris and Dawn Lindelof, owners of Musetta Wines. Not only did they have to worry about the grapes still on the vine, the tomatoes at their home had to be harvested, as well.
Spread out on their dining room table above are about two-thirds of their crop. Altogether, Chris says they brought in about 100 lbs. of tomatoes this week because of the rain.
Looks like there could be a lot of spaghetti sauce and salsa in their immediate future.
