Library book sale

Before you settle in for the winter, you might want to pick up something to read.

The Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries will put tens of thousands of books on sale this weekend for their four-day fall Book Faire -- known among local bibliophiles as a true bargain hunter's delight.

If you want to attend the preview sale from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, and get the first look at the items available this year, admission is $5.

Admission is free 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 2-7 p.m. Monday. Sunday is half-price day and on Monday, books cost just $4 for a shopping bag full.
