Blessing of the Grapes

Though the harvest is already underway, Sept. 3, 2008 marked Grgich Hills Winery's official "blessing" of the grapes before crushing. The annual tradition at the Rutherford winery honors the workers, the grapes and the bounty of the season.

Owner Mike Grgich, a Napa institution, celebrates his 50th year of winemaking this year.
